Indoor Walking Program
The indoor walking program at École secondaire de Clare will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning January 3rd and will run until April 26th, 2012 between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Please wear clean and comfortable sneakers. Please remove outdoor footwear before starting your walk. The walking program is cancelled when school is closed. (In-service, storm days, holidays). It's free.
ADULT BADMINTON
Adult Badminton will be held on Monday evenings beginning November 14th at École Jean Marie Gay from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cost: $2.50. November 14th to December 5th. Resumes January 9th. All skill levels welcome. Racquets and shuttles available.
Adult Skating
It's time to lace up your skates once again and join your skating friends at the arena - Université Sainte-Anne every Tuesday morning, beginning November 1st from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost: $3.00.
Nordic Walking
Nordic Walking with Nancy Comeau will be held on Saturday, February 4th from 10 a.m. until noon. Meet at the ball field - Université Sainte-Anne. Walking poles are available. It's free. Space is limited therefore please contact the Recreation Department to pre-register. Nancy will lead the sessions designed to teach the proper techniques for walking with trekking poles. The sport has been gaining popularity as a low-impact exercise that burns more calories than walking without poles.

Choose a destination from our list and from January 1st to April 30, 2012 track your walking, jogging, skiing or swimming kilometers on sheets available on our web-site. Reach your destination and your name will be entered in a draw for a membership to Acadie Fit/Acadie Co-ed.
