COVID-19 PAYMENT RELIEF OPTIONS
We talk to property owners in Clare every day about what they need during these difficult times. We understand that many of you are concerned about the future, job security and your ability to pay your property tax.
The Municipality of Clare is here to help. We are pushing back our typical June 30 municipal tax deadline to July 31, 2020. In addition, until September 30, 2020, we are waiving interest fees on overdue payments for the 2020-2021 tax year. We are also committed to providing options for property owners. If you are struggling to pay your property tax, please contact the Municipal Office at (902) 769-2031 so that we can work together to arrange a payment plan.
Property taxes are vitally important for the operation of the Municipality of Clare and its services. We therefore encourage all residents and business owners who can pay their property taxes on time and on a regular schedule to continue doing so. This will help us support those who are most in need of financial assistance.
