Roads and Winter Maintenance
Most public roads in Clare are maintained by the Province of Nova Scotia, while the Municipality is responsible for certain municipally owned roads, properties and facilities.
During the winter months, Public Works carries out snow clearing and ice control on municipal properties and infrastructure under the Municipality’s responsibility.
Residents with concerns regarding provincially maintained roads, including road conditions, snow removal or maintenance, should contact the Province of Nova Scotia.
Water and Wastewater
The Municipality operates and maintains municipal water and wastewater infrastructure in designated service areas. Regular maintenance, inspections and infrastructure improvements help ensure these essential services remain safe and reliable.
Residents experiencing an issue with municipal water or wastewater services are encouraged to contact the Municipality.
Reporting an Issue
Residents can help us identify maintenance needs throughout the community. If you notice an issue involving municipal infrastructure, property or services, please contact the Municipality and provide as much information as possible about the location and nature of the concern.
For urgent situations that pose an immediate risk to public safety, call 911.
