In 2019, three councillors from the Municipality of Clare received long service awards from the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities in recognition of the time and knowledge that they have committed to municipal government. During the Regular Council Meeting on January 15, 2020, Warden Ronnie LeBlanc presented scrolls of recognition to the following councillors:

Deputy Warden Nil Doucet, District 1, for his 15 years of service;
Councillor Danny Hill, District 2, for his 15 years of service;
Councillor Brian Comeau, District 5, for his 15 years of service.
