1) Call to Order
The Warden called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
2) Approval of the Agenda
MOVED BY Councillor Danny Hill and SECONDED BY Councillor Réanne Cooper that the proposed agenda be approved as circulated.

5) Staff Reports
5.1 Financial Update – Christien Deveau, Director of Finance
The Director of Finance provided an overview of the Municipality’s financial position. (

7) NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Active Transportation Plan
The CAO circulated a draft of the Active Transportation Plan for Council’s review and asked that they provide him with any feedback or questions by Thursday, April 9, 2026. A meeting is scheduled with Upland on April 9th to discuss the draft plan, prior to launching one last round of public engagement.
7.2 Yarmouth Hospital Foundation – Commitment to Healthcare Community Fund
The CAO provided an update from the Clare Health Centre Foundation on the funds received this year from the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation’s Commitment to Healthcare Community Fund. More specifically, the Foundation received $11,937 in funding and purchased two new ambulatory blood pressure monitors and two new bariatric rated physiotherapy exam beds for the Clare Health Centre.
7.3 Tender – Repairs to Belliveau Cove Retaining Wall
A tender has been issued for necessary repairs to the Belliveau Cove retaining wall. The closing date for the tender is Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Following a review of the bids by the CAO and the Director of Public Works, a recommendation will be made to Council at the Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday April 15, 2026.
7.4 Le CDÉNÉ - Report on the Economic Impacts of the Congrès mondial acadien 2024
Le Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse is hosting two events to share its Report on the Economic Impacts of the Congrès mondial acadien 2024. The session in Clare will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Clare Veterans Centre in Saulnierville. The Municipality is a proud partner of this event.
7.5 Dangerous and Unsightly
There are currently four active files under the Municipality’s Dangerous and Unsightly By-law. The CAO provided a brief overview of the files. Municipal staff is currently working with the property owners in question to remedy the issues which have been deemed non-compliant.
